The Twin City Opera House has had its doors open to the public for more than 100 years. Over this period of time patrons have enjoyed magic, theater, music, political debates, public meetings, variety shows and many other performances. They have experienced first-hand the adjustments that have enabled the Opera House to continue to be a valuable community asset. But it has not been easy. It has taken the help of many kind-hearted and like-minded individuals to do so. The inescapable truth is that the Opera House still needs the help of these same people. That is why we would like you to become a Friend of the Opera House. As a Friend of the Opera House you will be able to help by either donating much needed funds or volunteering your time for specific events. We know that your time and money are very valuable, but a contribution to the Opera House will help ensure that it remains a beneficial landmark for at least another 100 years.

Twin City Opera House Book, Postcards, & DVD

The 68 page history book is full of vibrant pictures of the theater and Morgan County. A great historical reference book complete with full color copies of the glass advertising slides shown before each movie form the 1940's through the 1960's. The book is $25.00, available at the Theater or Ginny's Flower Shoppe in McConnelsville or BUY IT NOW online at our store (online purchase with PayPal only).

Postcards of the advertising slides are also available for purchase for $2.00.

Kroger Cares

We are now proud to be a part of another unique fund raising opportunity, the Kroger Cares program. The idea is simple and works like this:

1) Purchase a Kroger Gift Card from the Opera House for $5.00

2) The card will have a balance of $5.00 already on it.

3) Shop at Kroger stores.

4) When you go to the store, go to the cashier and put as much money on your card as you would like (Maximum of $500).

5) Use the card like cash to purchase groceries and gas.

6) The Twin City Opera House will receive 5% of our collective purchases.

The card can be used forever. Whenever your balance gets low, just visit the cashier and put more money on it before you shop. It is very easy and a great way to help the theater by doing something you already do! Just stop in our give us a call to purchase your card and start helping us out.

Eco Phones Recycling Program

The Twin City Opera House is conducting a recycling fundraiser. There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used cellular phone(s), ink jet cartridge(s), DVD movie(s) / video game(s), portable DVD player(s), laptop / notebook computer(s), MP3 player(s), video game console(s), digital camera(s), digital picture frame(s), and portable navigation & GPS device(s). Your used item(s) may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund the Twin City Opera House’s Entertainment Fund. Bring your items to the theater lobby during normal operating hours or to the Reiker Building in McConnelsville, or call the theater to schedule a pickup.
