The Hastily Assembled Bluegrass Band began years ago like many other bands because a group of friends loved the music. Since then, the band has evolved into a close association of musicians who strive for authenticity, accuracy, grit and sensitivity and who lean towards the blues edge of bluegrass. Set lists feature songs from the icons of traditional bluegrass as well as originals done in that style. While the same faces will not always be seen in this band, led and founded by Jeanne Wieland and Jon McDonald, the same high quality of musicianship will always be heard.

Pop 'N' Fresh have won the Whammy for Best Blues Performer from Whatzup! for
four straight years. The band performs just about every weekend and plays their
good-time version of the blues. For over a decade, they've played a variety of
music, including old rock, rockabilly and swing.
The members: Pops Ted Brown and son, (Fresh) Travis Brown, and Mom Pam Brown
sometimes play in an acoustic version of the band called "Mom 'N Pop 'N Fresh"
at local coffee houses and venues. The other band members include: (Fresh)
Jeremy Sells on Drums, along with keyboardist (Pop) Steve Jugaloff.
